First Grade students

First Grade

First graders were productive collaborators and culturally competent citizens while learning about holiday celebrations in other cultures. Students worked in groups to create a slideshow about their holiday to share with their classmates.

Second Grade

Second Grade

Second graders became researchers when they chose an animal from Zootopia that interested them to research. Students learned about their physical characteristics,  habitat, personality traits and other fun facts.

Third Grade

Third Grade

Third graders filled their backpack with artifacts after completing their class president campaign. Students learned about the branches of government, how to understand school issues and create change, as well as what makes a good candidate.

Fourth Grade

Fourth Grade

Fourth graders became experts on bats. They learned all about their habitats, what threatens them and how they can help them flourish. Their learning about these endangered species won them a trip to the zoo. At the end of the year, fourth graders built bat boxes place around our school.

Fifth Grade

Fifth Grade

Fifth graders proved they were effective communicators by taking a stance on a school issue, learning about the opposite side of the issue, and debating the issue within their classroom.

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to behavior that provides high expectations and reinforcements to encourage positive behaviors.
