How to Apply

JCPS Magnet Application Process

Step 1: Go to JCPS website

Step 2: Click on Register and/or Apply

Step 3: Click on Apply For School

Step 4: Select Apply for Middle or High

Step 5: Select Apply for Middle or High

Step 6: If you are a current JCPS family, log in using your Parent Portal username and password to complete the application.

If you're new to JCPS and you have not registered, you should complete Online Registration. After completing Online Registration you will be given a Portal Activation Key that can be used below to log in and apply.

Johnson Traditional, Jefferson Co. Traditional (JCTMS), & Barret Traditional students will complete an application form, selecting between Butler Traditional HS and Male Traditional HS, at school with their school counselor. These students DO NOT need to complete an online application, unless they plan to attend a high school other than Butler Traditional HS or Male Traditional HS.
