Family Resource Center

About

About

Family Resource Centers are designed to provide families with access to resources and support necessary to empower family and community life. Our goal is to enhance the health, growth, and development of children and to provide adequate resources for families to become self-sufficient. Centers are based on the concept that not only children, but also parents grow, develop, and need nurturing. FRCs meet the needs of families by providing new opportunities for education and support.

Mission

Our mission is to help remove barriers to student learning by providing resources and support to families in order to promote continued growth and learning, family engagement, self-sufficiency, and a positive climate in our community.

Get involved!

The following are just a few ways you can be more involved in the center’s efforts:

  • Join our Advisory Council! Every other month, we will host an advisory council meeting where parents, staff, and community members meet to discuss how the Family Resource Center is impacting our community, as well as plan for future events and budgeting items.

  • Donate new/gently used uniform/regular clothing—tennis shoes, underclothes, winter clothing, etc.

  • Donate new/unused hotel travel-size toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, empty travel-sized bottles, etc.).

  • Donate school supplies (full-size backpacks [no wheels], pencils, crayons, markers, etc.).
