Ballard's first Unified Basketball team was in the 90's. In 2009 Randy Mills, former Unified Basketball League Director approached the ECE teachers about starting a team. From there, they spoke to parents of the students at that time and they were all on board with starting up the team.

Unified Basketball is a great way our students get to hang out with their classmates and peers outside of class and enjoy the atmosphere of a High School Basketball game.

Students Love Unified Basketball

Virginia Richardson-Nichols, who has participated for a few years as a Cheerleader, says, "I enjoy being around my friends".

Vincent Veith, who is a Basketball player, says "I enjoy making layups and playing defense." and "I enjoy the Halftime shows and being able to dance to the music!"

Matty Burton, who is also a Basketball player, says "I want to go 5-1 this year!" and "I like being on the team because you are a part of a team and representing Ballard."
