Principal Statement

I am humbled and excited to be the first principal of Dr. J. Blaine Hudson Middle School. I have over 23 years of experience with Jefferson County Public Schools serving as a classroom educator, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. I believe strongly that impacting students is my calling and that I must work alongside staff, families, students, and the community to ensure young people have what they need for their current reality and future.

Our school is best described as the "School for the People!" We are excited to be the first middle school in West Louisville that will be built in over 90 years to welcome every student regardless of background and academic progress from the area. We place a strong emphasis on community service and social justice with exposure to many career pathways while giving students an option closer to their home.
