Assistant Principal

Meet Our Assistant Principal

Amy Wright

Hi Bloom families! I am so thankful to be serving as the assistant principal at Bloom Elementary! I returned home to my favorite bulldogs in 2018.  This is my ninth year as an assistant principal and I have twenty three years of experience in education.  I am an Eastern Kentucky University graduate, as well as an IU Southeast, and University of the Cumberlands graduate! I have my Rank I in Educational Leadership, K-12.

I have known since I was an elementary student myself that I wanted to be a teacher.  Decades later I know that my passion is still teaching and learning alongside of my amazing students at Bloom.  I believe that passion is what drives our day to day work with our students. We work hard to ensure our students at Bloom are provided rich and meaningful opportunities that they will be able to carry with them long after they have moved on from us.  Of all the lessons and standards we teach, the most important thing I want my students to remember from Bloom is remembering to BE KIND.

On a personal note I have been married to my husband Brian for twenty four years and counting. We have two amazing kids, Evan and Emma Kate. Evan and Emma Kate are both at WKU. My favorite past times are relaxing by my pool or spending time at the beach where you will find me with a book in my hand!
