About

Norton Elementary School is named for former Jefferson County Board of Education member Jane M. Norton and her husband, George, in honor of their contributions to education in the community. Norton Elementary opened in fall 1967. Our facility includes 32 wireless/digital multimedia classrooms; a computer lab with 32 computers and Internet access; a learning media center (library); a cafeteria/gym; a large playground with new equipment; and a greenhouse/outdoor classroom.

The faculty and staff of Norton Elementary School are pleased to welcome you to our school community. We provide a learning environment where students can grow intellectually, morally, and socially into contributing citizens. Education is a partnership shared among parents, students, and educators, so please keep close communication with your child’s teacher.
