Norton PTA

What is the Norton PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association is a volunteer organization that strives to provide a sense of extended community and to support the school, teachers, parents and each individual child. PTA hopes that when each child comes to school they have an equal opportunity to be successful learners.

The Norton PTA coordinates several events during the year and participates in other projects including Hearing and Vision Screenings, Teacher Appreciation Week, a school-wide student directory, Newsletter, and Yearbook.

PTA + VOLUNTEERS = ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AND FUNDS FOR NORTON!

The PTA board meets monthly and general membership meetings are held three times per year.

Our fundraising activities: PTA funds its programs through our annual Un-Fundraiser held at the beginning of each school year. We raise additional money with retail fundraising through Amazon Smile and Kroger Rewards.  We also collect boxtops, Coke Rewards, and Tyson products, these funds go directly into the classroom for teacher supplies.

PTA funds are critical to supplement the ever-shrinking school budgets. Every teacher is given an allotment of PTA grants to fund their classroom needs every year. Take a look at this list of some of the items we’ve been able to provide to our school!
