Student Support Services has 12 home school coordinators who work in 11 high schools and 1 middle school, serving more than 960 truant students who have been identified by the JCPS Research Department as at-risk of dropping out of school.
Student Support Services is designed to be a safety net program for targeted at-risk students who have low attendance and high suspensions and who are on the path of dropping out of school. Our home school coordinators develop relationships with students, raise academic performance, increase parent involvement, and improve students’ daily attendance, thus increasing graduation rates.
