What is an Internship?

An Internship is a type of work-based learning that provides work experience in a particular occupation and leads to course credit and compensation. Internships are aligned to a student's CTE Pathway and are typically paid, short-term experiences. *All Internship experiences should be coded accordingly in Infinite Campus and aligned to the student's TEDS-identified career program area.

Internship Enrollment Requirements

To participate in an Internship, a student shall:

  • Have gained sufficient knowledge and skills for success.

  • Have completed the basic career and technical skill prerequisites required by the CTE Program .

  • Be Concentrator status in their pathway (2/4 CTE Pathway credits on transcript).

  • Be enrolled in a pathway course within the same academic year or completed pathway by the conclusion of the student's junior year.
