A School-Based Enterprise (SBE) is a simulated or actual business conducted within a school setting. School-based enterprises provide students opportunities to:
Utilize basic academic skills.
Experience a work-related environment.
Gain team and leadership skills.
Become familiar with technology used in their career field.
Develop an understanding of the economic system and its impact on society.
To participate in a School-Based Enterprise, a student shall:
Have gained sufficient knowledge and skills for success.
Have and maintain good standing at their school.
Be enrolled in a school and pathway with an available School-Based Enterprise.
