Learn your school's deadlines for enrolling in Work-Based Learning.
Submit WBL Application & respond to any communication from school personnel.
Communicate with school to complete WBL Plan based on desired & applicable WBL Experience.
If applicable, complete Hazardous Occupations Addendum.
Parent/Guardian submits Medical Authorization and Transportation Verification to school.
Student and all other parties sign WBL Agreements based on established WBL Plan.
Attend WBL Experience and follow all Student Expectations for WBL Experience.
Record WBL Experience Type, Employer Name, Employer Location, Date(s), Start Time(s), and End Time(s) to document experience. Students may utilize Work Hours Log for the WBL Career Portfolio.
Notify school and employer of any and all anticipated absences.
For Paid WBL Experiences, submit WBL Hours Log at minimum once a month.
For Experience-Based Work and Outside Work Experience, complete a minimum of 8 Career Skills lessons found in the WBL Career Portfolio.
Complete WBL Student Evaluation.
Send Employer Thank You Email to your WBL Employer by using template with Work Verification and WBL Employer Evaluation links embedded. *Copy school personnel (CTE Teacher and/or WBL Coordinator) on email to employer.
For students completing the WBL Career Portfolio, submit completed portfolio to school officials or using the WBL Form Dropbox. *Notify school personnel (CTE Teacher and/or WBL Coordinator) when submitting online.
